Celebrating the first birthday of your first baby is no small milestone – I really still remember how accomplished I felt when my oldest turned one, and we celebrated an entire year of parenthood, keeping a baby healthy and loved, having all of our expectations of parenthood smashed to a thousand pieces, and living out the love and sacrifice everything else that only comes with raising a human. It’s a lot. And it’s so worth celebrating.
I photographed this sweet family and their darling little girl at their brand new home that they’d only lived in about a week at the time of our session! It was such an honor to be present in the midst of such big milestones in their lives – their baby’s birthday, their new home, and a big move. These images are a mix of digital and Fuji400h film.
