I've been a Boise newborn photographer since 2014. I create timeless, connection-driven newborn photography designed to feel gentle, unhurried, and elevated all at once.
As a mother of four myself, I am intimately familiar with the newborn stage and all of its complexities: the all-consuming love mixed with bone-deep exhaustion, and the wonder of getting to know a brand new human mixed with the realities of a healing body.
I don't need your baby to run on our schedule or sleep and eat at the 'right' time. I don't need your other children to sit still or your partner to know how to pose. Everyone's world has just been turned upside down in the best way possible, and your only job is to trust me to capture the magic you've already made.

I've been photographing newborns since 2014, and I've been a mother even longer — I know firsthand the simultaneous grief and awe of watching our little ones grow so quickly, and realizing that holding onto moments is much like trying to hold onto sand.
Photographs are the closest thing any parent can get to going back in time. Of course we'll never get to actually relive these moments, but photos allow us to revisit the memories — and preserve them for decades to come.
When I photograph growing families, I'm photographing love. I'm documenting the building of your legacy. I'm celebrating the humans who are your whole world. I've spent well over a decade honing my skills and process, and can promise you this: I have you covered. Really. No planning, posing, or scheduling needed. We'll work on your baby's schedule, we'll make room for your toddler's big feelings, and no one needs to perform.

the newborn photo process
An effortless experience, meaningful for generations.
1. booking
Send me an inquiry, and I'll reply quickly with my detailed information and answers to your questions. Unless your birth is a scheduled delivery, I reserve time around your due date and we choose a specific day for your session after baby arrives. Babies are on their own timelines!
2. styling & planning
Newborn sessions include my styling and planning direction, plus access to my incredible client wardrobe — including pieces for new mothers, babies, and siblings. Most clients choose a planning appointment with me before baby arrives, so we can go over details like timing, location, and what to bring. This saves hours of guesswork, and is a wonderful chance to get comfortable and connected before what can feel like a very vulnerable session.
3. session day
My client guide will fully prepare you for the session itself, and you'll have every question answered well before photo day. Newborn sessions are intentionally slow and flexible — there's no rushing, no pressure, and no worries about how your baby or other children will cooperate. We'll work around your little one's needs, always.
4. after your session
My galleries are delivered in 4-6 weeks. You'll receive your images via private online gallery, where you can download, share, and shop with your included print credit. I'm always available to assist my clients in choosing artwork for their walls. Your photos aren't created to live on your hard drive, but to be enjoyed every single day!

Some of my families already know where they want their photos taken and how they want them to feel. Others want all of the input they can possibly get. Wherever you fall, I am here to collaborate with you to ensure that your photos genuinely reflect your family and make you so excited to print them and share them and show them off.

I offer a very large collection of beautiful wardrobe items for women, babies, and children up to around age 7. I have dozens of dresses designed to flatter real women in all stages of motherhood, and I save my clients hundreds of dollars and hours of stress shopping. Whether you borrow from my collection or wear your own clothing, I will help you put together a wonderful set of outfits for your family that will greatly enhance your final images.
If you've ever looked into hiring a photographer before, you'll quickly realize that we all have different ways of structuring our pricing. Personally, I believe in including high resolution, fully edited and retouched images with every session. There are zero hidden costs in my offerings — ever.

Signature sessions and collections include a large credit toward prints and other products. It's so important to me that your memories don't sit on a hard drive and that you are able to view your photos on a daily basis - they're created to bring light and joy and love to your life, and remind you why family is so wildly wonderful! FAqs
where will my session take place?
Many families like newborn photos to take place in the comfort of their own home. However, I also offer a studio option at no extra charge, and if the weather is nice we can even shoot outdoors.
when do newborn photos take place?
Traditionally, newborn sessions take place in the first 7-14 days when baby is very sleepy and tiny. However, many families are not ready for photos this early. As your baby gets older, he/she will of course be more awake and not quite as tiny — but this is not a problem in any way. I tell every client that newborn photos should take place when you are ready to enjoy them. There is no rush, and many of my newborn sessions actually take place at 4-6 weeks.
how do i schedule photos around my due date?
Babies arrive on their own schedule, and we do not need to reserve a session date ahead of time. In general, I reserve space in my calendar around your due date, and the session itself is scheduled after baby arrives. You can never predict how birth and recovery will go, so this always stays flexible. That said, if you have a scheduled delivery, you're welcome to pick a date ahead of time if you'd like.
what's included in my session fee?
The cost of the session covers everything you need for a seamless experience, including fully retouched high resolution images. From one busy parent to another, this process is designed to be as simple as possible. You can rest assured that there are no hidden or unexpected costs, ever. do your newborn photos include the whole family?
Absolutely yes! This is always my preferred way to go. However, occasionally families want photos of baby only, or just a few with parents. In the end, I am happy to create whatever will make you happy — but I recommend including the whole family in most cases.
do you offer mini sessions?
I do not offer mini sessions for newborns. The truth is, newborn sessions are incredibly unpredictable. Babies will cry, eat, sleep, and need to be changed during a session. Setting aside a larger block of time for your newborn session is so important and will make the day feel much more peaceful, never rushed or pressured.
how do you keep my baby safe?
I do not personally handle or pose babies, with exceptions only as requested by parents. I adore newborns, but your photos are not an opportunity for me to hold your little one. I have experienced the intense stress of having very sick infants of my own, and am very protective of your baby's health. I will never bring germs near your precious little one!
