The day after photographing Shannon and Daniel’s wedding in Mission Bay, they wanted to do a trash the dress/day after session before heading off to Spain on their honeymoon. A day after session is such a fun way to spend more time getting couple photos (even if you don’t want to actually trash your dress!), without making the wedding day timeline longer. Weddings are most often on fast-paced, tight schedules, and don’t allow for the same level of creativity and time that goes into a session that takes place on a different day.
I would definitely encourage couples to consider adding a separate session for bridal portraits or a trash the dress session, or planning ahead for their first anniversary to do something similar. It’s such a fun and romantic time to be together, with no time crunch and no other stresses, to celebrate being husband and wife and beginning a wonderful new life together.
