One of the most exciting times to photograph a family is when they’re expecting a new baby. The joy and anticipation in the air are contagious, and you can feel the love and excitement as the parents-to-be prepare to welcome their little one. There’s something truly special about capturing this period in their lives—the quiet moments of preparation, the conversations about future hopes, and the bond that’s already forming before the baby even arrives.
During these sessions, I love to focus on the interactions and the quiet, tender moments between family members. A mother cradling her growing belly or eager siblings showing their excitement—these moments are priceless. They speak volumes without saying a word, and they’re the essence of family photography.
