Photographing a newborn in the place where your family actually lives can add so much to your newborn session — the place where the light comes through your bedroom window in the morning, where your toddler has claimed their favorite corner of the couch, where everything is familiar and comfortable and yours. These are some of the newborn sessions I love most.

I wish this story was mine to tell, but it’s not, so I’ll leave it at this: family is love – love that overcomes, love that heals, love that strengthens, and love that binds. Family is rarely what we planned, and for that we should celebrate, because it’s really so, so much more.
