Almost exclusively, the sessions I photograph in my clients’ homes are newborn sessions. And that’s totally fine – nature is gorgeous, the lighting is wonderful, and an outdoor session doesn’t require a remotely clean or put together house. I love the outdoors, and I’ll never tire of sessions set in the timeless beauty of nature.
But there is something special that a home has that nature never will: it is the center of family life, a retreat away from the world, the place where a family lives and loves and grows. A home is an extension of a family, filled with memories and personality and physical representations of the relationships that make up the family unit.
Does the idea of an in-home session spark your interest? Memories preserved in the place they’re most often created? If cozy, relaxed, and intimate images resonate with you, get in touch. You don’t need an expensive designer decorated house for it to be the perfect setting to capture your family (or engagement, anniversary session, etc.) – I promise. 🙂
Enjoy these photos of this darling family and the love that so clearly fills their life together.
