Autumn has been treating us so well here in Boise, but oh, how I’m going to miss the green of summertime…
Summertime in Meridian and the Treasure Valley is so full of fun and freedom, and despite the heat, it’s one of my favorite times of year.
From days spent riding bikes and playing in the splash pads at all of our incredible local parks, to morning hikes in the foothills before the heat really takes hold, to the wild Fourth of July fireworks in our neighborhood and quiet evenings in my garden after putting my children to bed… it’s a season so full of good things.
Summertime family sessions can be tough on the hottest days, and I’m so often looking for shade or planning around the ‘cooler’ summer days. The day of this family’s session was hot as usual, but we had some lovely cloud cover to block out the most intense of the sun’s heat. The grass was still lush and green, the creek was full, and the wildlife was active and kept the children entertained. I am so grateful for families who love being in nature like I do, and who are happy to love on one another and spend their time with me enjoying their blessings.
