Boise Family Photography

Before I moved to Boise, I didn’t fully appreciate how magical the light is on the coast at sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon and filter soft golden beams through the thick, humid air is something that I did so many times that I stopped fully noticing it. But truly, ocean sunsets and lovely families on film are about the best combo out there.

I’ve photographed this family for years, and even after my move to Boise, they’ve been one of my wonderful sets of clients who have waited for my visits to California each fall and who have managed to plan around my busy work/visit schedule each year. Watching each of my clients’ children grow and mature change from year to year is something I absolutely love about this job. Even when my visits with families are only once or twice a year, over time there is a sweet, rich connection that we form and every family means so much to me.

This year, we went to Coronado for this family’s session, and we were rewarded with the absolute most gorgeous golden light and temperate weather. Like I said before, this is one of the most incredible locations there is!
