These photos are from one of my petite sessions, which I offer at special events just a couple times each year. Petite sessions (you also may hear them called mini sessions) are perfect for families who simply want the essentials: gorgeous portraits, plus a handful of perfect candids. They’re a smaller investment than full sessions, and include fewer images, but I love offering both full and petite sessions because they’re each perfect for different families.
If you’re interested in a petite session, it is very important to subscribe to my newsletter. My subscribers receive first access to petite session events and they tend to sell out quickly. I recommend them most for families who have older children (since they have an easier time cooperating on a short timeline), or whose budgets don’t allow for a full session. At twenty minutes long, the focus is on capturing family and individual portraits, and I always take candid images as we go. Full sessions, which run around ninety minutes, allow for plenty of snack and play breaks for babies and toddlers, as well as a huge variety of images and a complete storytelling gallery. I always recommend full sessions when families are willing and able, because I love how much I can create in that time and relaxed pace at which I run my sessions. At the same time, my petite session events hold such a special place in my heart and I love seeing so many of the same families show up each year! It’s a faced-paced event full of fun and wonderful people. 🙂
