Family photos don’t have to mean stiff smiles and “say cheese” moments. In fact, the best sessions often look more like playtime — full of movement, laughter, and real connection. That’s the heart behind every playful family session I photograph.
Whether it’s chasing each other through a field, twirling in the sunlight, or collapsing into a pile of giggles on a blanket, I guide families into moments that feel natural and fun. There’s no pressure to behave perfectly, sit still, or smile on command. (Honestly, that’s not real life — and it’s not what you’ll want to remember anyway.)
Playful sessions are especially wonderful for kids because they get to be themselves. Climbing, exploring, tickling, dancing — it’s all welcome. When children feel free, their personalities shine, and that’s when we capture the magic.
