Time feels different when you have a baby. The days can be long, but the stage itself moves quickly, and before you realize it, the details have changed. The way they fit perfectly against your chest, the little stretches and expressions, the quiet moments you didn’t think to document… those are often the things parents miss the most later on.
These sessions are designed to feel easy. Babies don’t need to be on a schedule or in a certain mood to create meaningful images. If they need to eat, we pause. If they want to be held the entire time, that’s exactly what we’ll lean into. There’s no expectation for your baby to perform, and no pressure on you to manage the experience. The focus stays on what is naturally happening, because that’s what holds up over time.
You won’t be left wondering what to do. I’ll gently guide you into simple, comfortable positions that photograph beautifully without feeling stiff or unnatural, and then I’ll give you space to interact with your baby the way you normally would. Those small, instinctive moments… the way you soothe them, the way they settle into you… that’s where the strongest images come from.
Most parents walk away surprised by how relaxed it felt. You get a pocket of time to slow down and be present, and in the process, we create images that feel honest to this season of your life.
