There’s this funny thing that happens when your kids get a little older — somewhere between the toddler years and the teenage years, the world sort of stops reminding you to document your family. Newborn sessions and milestone photos are everywhere when your kids are babies, and then suddenly your littlest isn’t so little anymore and you realize it’s been a few years since you’ve had real photos taken, and somehow that snuck up on you completely.
I photographed this mother and daughter duo in one of my two studio options over the winter, when it was too cold to spend much time outside. I love motherhood sessions, because mothers are magic.
