Summer vacation is just about over, and I definitely wasn’t ready for it to come so soon. We’ve had the best summer, simply spending time with friends, playing at the park and in the splash pads, being unstructured and spontaneous, and spending as much time outside as possible. While we’re all ready for it too cool off a few degrees (Adelaide says she’s ready for winter – I’m not!), I think that diving back into homeschool in a couple weeks is going to feel like a little bit of a shock. 😉
These are a handful of my favorite photos from this summer. We went cherry picking up in Emmett one Sunday afternoon, and it was quiet and peaceful (and delicious) and perfect. I brought a roll of very expired Polaroid film, and while I honestly don’t love the colors of it, I do love these photos and that I could just bring my film camera and be fully present during our family time and not looking through pictures I’d taken or worrying too much about them. It was just for fun, and for memories.
