Elopements have such a special place in my heart. The simplicity of an intimate celebration, the focus on the vows and the couple, the relaxed pace and the time we get for beautiful photos – well, I love it! All of it.
When I got married almost 12 years ago, I wanted to elope, but it was less common and I hadn’t seen anyone plan a special day for themselves like many couples do now. Instead, it was usually a trip to Las Vegas or the courthouse, a forgettable dress and forgettable photos. In the end, my husband and I had a fairly traditional wedding and it was wonderful! But if we were getting married in 2022, I think we definitely would have gone the route of an elopement or intimate wedding.
This elopement was planned and styled by yours truly. Though I’m certainly not a wedding planner or stylist, if I had time for multiple careers, those would likely be two more of them. 😉
Bride’s dress is from Anthropologie, headdress is from Amazon, and the scissors and cameo are family antiques. I foraged the bouquet in the Idaho foothills and thoroughly enjoyed putting it together!
