If you’ve been scrolling maternity photos online and feeling a little overwhelmed by the styling side of things — what to wear, how to look, how to feel comfortable in front of a camera when your body is doing something it has never done before — I just want to say that this is one of my favorite parts of the whole process to help with, and it is so much more manageable than it might feel right now.
Wardrobe genuinely changes everything in a maternity session. The right outfit in the right light can take an image from pretty to completely breathtaking, and I put a lot of thought into making sure my clients feel beautiful and like themselves — not like they’re wearing a costume. I have a client wardrobe available, so if pulling together the perfect outfit sounds like one more thing on a very long list, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
If you have multiple ideas in mind, we can always consider a mid-session outfit change. There’s something about switching things up halfway through that gives the session a whole new energy — different textures, different moods, sometimes something flowy and romantic and then something a little more relaxed and real. It also just gives you so much more variety in your gallery, which I love for my clients.
The feel of a maternity session should be slow and unhurried and genuinely enjoyable. This is a season worth savoring, and your session should feel that way too.
