The first year with a new baby is genuinely unlike any other year of your life — and it also happens to be the year your child changes the most dramatically and the most quickly of any year they will ever have. A baby at one week old and a baby at twelve months old are almost unrecognizable as the same person, and everything that happens in between is worth paying attention to.
That is why I love doing sessions at each of these stages so much — because each one tells a completely different story. The curled up, sleepy, brand new version. The smiley, sitting up, starting to figure out the world version. The almost-toddler who has no idea what is about to happen to them version. Together those three galleries become this incredible record of an entire first year, and flipping through them is something families genuinely treasure for a long time.
