Golden Hour Family Photos in Boise
I photographed this family session on film while on a trip to San Diego to visit my family. I love the beautiful scenery that Boise provides for family photos, but it’s always nice to photograph in a totally different area and feel more inspired again while shooting. This location is in Presidio Park, a gorgeous, historic location in the heart of San Diego, near Old Town. The presidio itself is beautiful, but I’ve never used it so much as the grounds around it. As you can see, there are huge, old trees covering the very sloped grounds and there are lots of interesting photo locations within short walking distance.
The sun set on us rather quickly the evening that we were out, partly because there was a nearly dead-stopped traffic jam for a few miles around the park so we were all incredibly late getting started. (Traffic is definitely one of the things I don’t miss at all about San Diego!) However, the sunset light was magical and we still made it in time to get some wonderful photos of this family that is so dear to me. The mother, Caitlin, and I were good friends in college and have stayed in touch through the years even as we’ve mostly lived in separate states. It’s always, always a treat to see this family!
Film is all Fuji 400h processed by Photovision Prints , digital is C1ick Profiles.
